Papa said there'd be days like this...

Earlier this year at our church a word came from the Lord through some of the children. It was that this year we were going to have "Days of Joy"  Days so filled with joy we would be overwhelmed. So when I read this scripture today it reminded me of that word. 

 This face is joy to me :)

May this day be the begining of  DAYS OF JOY for you!

I have a dream

Did you ever have a dream so big that you knew it had to come from God alone, so big only God could bring it to pass?  That’s the kind of dream we have.  In fact we even have a name for ours….it’s called Good Land Ranch.  A sanctuary for people to come and get refreshed and work with rescued animals.  We have about 80 acres of farm land adjoining our properly that we are believing God for so we can build our ranch and open it to people and fur friends God would send us.  This dream is going to be fulfilled and one day you will see it on this blog.  Today I use photoshop to dream my dream and the word of God. We got the name for our dream from Deuteronomy 8 which talks about how the Lord was bringing his children the Israelites into a “Good Land”  but also how when they came into this land they were to remember the Lord who brought them there. So that is why we named it Good Land Ranch....to remind us to never forget the Lord when we are in our promise land J

Tooth fairy on call

How to eat corn on the cob when you’re an 8 year old with a mouth full of loose teeth...

We are all anxiously awaiting for Shannie to lose her first tooth....it's so close that we told the tooth fair she needs to stay on call.

All the dogs sure wanted to help Shannie clean herself up...so we had to send them out in the yard till she was done.

Jebediah was not very happy about the whole thing.

My Dad was dumping a pile of old wooden shutters....so of course I scarfed them all and came up with some neat ways to use them around the house.

I noticed an unintentional theme in the after  photos...they all had a dog in them ( more proof that every inch of my house has gone to the dogs ) however this last shot of my headboard didn't have a puppy in it ... so I had to find a willing subject to pose on the nice warm water bed to keep the theme going. Matilda gladly obliged ...and stayed there long after I snapped it...LOL

And of  course the grand baby had to get in on all the craftiness.

Lamb the breakfast of champions

One of the joys in life for us is entertaining
friends for dinner.

Hubby is the Chef and the boy can cook!  So that makes me in charge of the little frilly’s …which I love as much as my husband loves cooking.  This was my latest frilly idea. I took an old unusable serving tray because it had some pot marks and painted it with chalkboard paint…
(took 10 minutes) put it on an easel and

wala…. a menu board!

Below I photoshopped a favorite menu of a dear friend who visits our home a few time a year.

He travels the world as a missionary and this is favorite stop.
