A new passion

Shannie rode a horse for the first time.

Coming out of the feed store we ran into these nice folks offering horse rides.

Whoa that horse is much bigger looking when you get up close!

Up you go.

We will break her of this before she starts driving a car!

After her ride she came to me and said...

"Grammy I feel like I'm supposed to do something in my life with horses". Hum...well horse riding lessons here we come :)

Meanwhile all happy and content at the bottom of my shopping cart was little Kiki chewing away on a pigs ear. Yes we might have a new passion... but we will never lose our passion for our pups :)

 

Back to our wonderful life.

Well it didn’t take Gwenie long to get right back into the swing of things since we returned home from vacation.

I know your trying to get to that sandwich you little stinker bug.

The cure for anything is salt water.

The beach was total therapy for my soul. God so orchestrated every beautiful detail of our delightful vacation. The house we were blessed to stay at for “free”  was so me.  Here's a few of the things that made me feel right at home…

And I have to say thank you again to my sweet husband.

Meanwhile back at the home front I believe some puppies were taking advantage of Daddy’s kindness...

We wanted to get Daddy this souvenir for being such a trooper but we couldn’t fit it in the car….would have made such a great lawn ornament...LOL

Let there be light

I love to photograph light.

 Morning and evening sun flares.

 This face however is the brightest light of my life….and for her I am doing something I have not done in 15 years…. I am going on vacations!  I am also doing something I have “never” done, ever, and that is leaving the dogs and the hubby home alone for a few days! (that part's hard) The grandbaby has never seen the ocean…so by the time this post I will be enjoying the wonderful bliss of the beach. I can't wait to see her face when she see's the ocean for the first time. She is someone that is very moved by the beauty of creation...so I know she is going to be awestruck. 

Dear Husband I know you read my blog every day…because you’re my biggest cheerleader in life…however there are not enough words to say how much I treasure you and thank you for taking off work and taking on the pack all alone so I can give our grand baby memories she will have her whole life long. You are truly a gift from God!  I adore you!

Yes Jebbo and you better be a good boy for daddy.

A face only a brother could love

And Jebediah sure loves his brother Timmy. There bond is very special. They came to us about a year apart from one another… Jebb being the first.  Timmy is still technically a foster. He never was adopted…well I should say he was adopted but it fell through…and after that we had a few people interested but nothing ever came of it. Timmy sure lives up to his name in that he is the most timid animal I have ever owned.  And this is what makes his relationship with Jebb so special. Jebb has a way of given Timmy the confidence that he lacks and Timmy relies very much on Jebediah’s fearless temperament to help him cope.  He relies on Jebb so much at this point I would say they are a bonded pair.  Jebediah is Timmy’s super hero and together they are my body guards for all the little guys.
