Yes simplicity... I’ve had such a desire to simplify my life lately.  To the point I had all my hair cut off. It was down to the middle of my back and I had it cut into a pixie. Talk about simple…shower, shake and the hair's done!  I’m getting more like a dog everyday… LOL or should I say BOL.

 

However the pack is a bit confused as to who I am.

Or they're thinking..."It's about time you had yourself groomed."

The perfect summer day...

Morning walks… 

...and afternoons at the lake.

  Yep Jebbo had to take his two favorite girls back to the lake today.


With a pack of dogs needless to say we don't get to go on vacations. But because we live in paradise already... we don't feel we are missing a thing. This lake is about 7 minutes from our home. So often people spend thousands of dollars and travel so far to find that perfect vacation spot and it could be right around the corner.
We are having a great summer. Hope you all are too.

The rewards of rescue!

I received this short video today from a woman that adopted a dog from us about 2 years ago. What is so amazing about this video is even the vets office who surrendered him to us did not believe he was able to be rehabilitated because of the severe abuse he suffered… so severe the previous owner was convicted of animal abuse. He hated people and other dogs, he trusted no one.  He was used as a teaser dog for Pit Bulls. … I cried when I saw this!

This is a picture of the dog who is now called Einstein... taken AFTER being in the vets for a month.  Can you see why I cried such happy tears?

Here Einstein is right before he left our home to go to his forever home. With the help of our wonderful Jebediah… we were even able to get him to trust a Pit Bull and see not all Pitties wanted to eat him.   J

 Another happy ever after!

The pack is having a peaceful protest against fireworks today…It’s going to be a long week.

We will be spending a lot of time inside to drowned out the sound of them with turned up tv’s and ac’s.

Our freedom goes right out the window around Independence day.

We had a lot of yard work to do and our little helper was just having a blast.

Well maybe we had a little poutiness when it was time to…

clean up the dog yard.

But she was a trouper and rose to the occasion.
