Mr.& Mrs.Famous

Mr. Famous was Audrey Hepburn’s first beloved Yorkshire Terrier, and actually appeared with her in a scene in
Funny Face.
Did you know?  It was Audrey Hepburn, who actually introduced Yorkshire Terriers to the world of celebrities, this big fashion to have a lap-dog started in Hollywood exactly from Audrey and her little friend Mr. Famous.

Now I have Mrs.Famous...a.k.a Lil Ricky
hehehehe

My sweet Lil Ricky turned out o be a beauty in her full coat. she will be a 1 ½  tomorrow.

She has brought me so much joy, comfort and giggles. :)

Misty morning

This is why I love mornings.

There is something about getting up early and feeling the seeming stillness of the world.
Listening to God in this silent stillness is my favorite way to start my day.
It gives me a surge of happiness. ;)

Birds of a feather

Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value then they?

I often think of that scripture when I watch birds. :)

I can’t get to my bird feeders to fill them so I have been throwing seed on the snow…that is now almost eye leave with my window. So yesterday I spend most of my day just sitting and watching the birds.

I know they're just common birds but I’m just a common person…and I found great pleasure in watching and photographing them. Particularly these two…they took my breath away because it became like a pictorially
  of my life.

Birds of a feather don’t always stick together…sometimes one of them gets called home…

Oh that I could have wings like a dove and fly away…

Appearing and disappearing doggies

Although the snow has brought the appearance of fun little doggie sculptures, like this Dachshund head…

It has also piled up to Jebediah’s head.  I've lost being able to see the little dogs about 2 feet ago…and I do believe if we get any more Jebbo is going to disappear on me too.

Our daily routine

We got another 8 inches of snow after we tucked our little selves into bed last night….so this is becoming our daily routine.

Shoveling out the longggg driveway…

…and playing in the snow :)

Snippets of our day thus far.

You're nuts if you think we are coming down there!

How Shannie looks after shoveling snow.

How Lil Ricky looks after plowing snow.

Remains of the last storm.

Time for some hot coco before we're out the door to shovel again.

Like a summer day.

You know how on a warm summer's day you lay down in the grass and find shapes in the clouds above?
Well, we do the same with the piled up snow.
And today we spied us a doggie…of course. :)

Now in case your imagination has not run away with you yet, and your unable to see our doggie, we colored him in to give you a little help with your minds eye…

Jazzy wants to bring him a bone.
But really I think he just wants to pee on him….lol

Drive by shooting

Shannie and I just couldn’t resist taking shots of the sunset on our drive home tonight.

I took this one below through the  windshield as we drove down the road.
Puts a whole new meaning to drive by shooting.

The last shot here is Shannie’s. She sure has a great eye for composition at 9 years old. So proud of my baby! :)

That groundhog was right.

I know everyone is pretty done with winter by February. But I have to say for Shannie and I...this never gets old!
And according to Punxsutawney Phil we have 6 more weeks of fun to go. :)
