My angel

This shot was triggered by mistake on a photo shoot today when my camera was on my hip.

You can call it what you like but I always call it my angel. :)

This was the next shot…I guess he moved ;)

Deck the halls

Well the last big outdoor project for this year is finished. The deck is stained and put back together!
Before we know it, it will be time to “deck” the halls!

I get very nesty in the fall and having things all cleaned up and freshly stained only adds to my nestiness.
Makes me want to pull on a hoodie…grab some hot chocolate…curl up with a book and get lost in it for the rest of the day.

O'and yes, Miss Glory is in her glory once again. :)

Doxieholic fix

For all my Doxieholic friends I just had to share this photo shoot of these two amazingly stunning Dachshunds.
The English Cream is Delilah and the Dapple is Droopy.

They were so sweet and fun to work with.
If I wasn’t already, I would be completely persuaded….everyone needs to be owned by a Doxie ;)

No it's not a yard sale....keep driving peeps

We don’t only spring clean here at the ranch we fall clean....and this week is power wash and stain the porch week…YIPPY!

However... Miss.Glory’s not to thrilled…

….she doesn’t understand why everything is out on the lawn like we are having a yard sale. Hehehe

Well, I just want to say a big thank you to my son-in-love for taking on this job for me.
He is such a blessing to his crazy Mama….I don’t know what I would do without him!
I love you Kevin!

A different kind of "Silent Sunday"

It never fails my favorite pictures from a photo shoot are always the ones that were not really part of the shoot.

This one just touched me to my soul…its Mom signing “I love you”.

And I love the look of joy on this sweet face when I gave him this puppy to play with after the shoot.

I love my job!

m.i.a.

Sorry we have been missing in action.  It’s a busy time of the year for photo shoots, with all the pretty colors of fall.
So you may find me m.i.a. from time to time.

But thank the Lord I have my favorite helper! Here she is giving me a hand setting up for the weekend shoots. One of them being Waylon’s 5 month shot. Wow time is flying!

Ok, so she spent most of the time playing…

 chillaxing…

or just plan daydreaming.  She still is the greatest company. :)

And add our little Prince to the day….and it’s always a perfect one!

Why did the chicken...

…cross the blog?

Because I have absolutely nothing else to blog about today.

It would all be chicken scratch anyway….I know, I know I’m beating a dead horse here…lol

My little pony

I’m so drawn to 40’s/ 50’s vintage anything….and now more than ever because I see photo shoot prop!
So when I stumbled on this sweet thang over the weekend for a steal,
I snatched it right up.
First I'm going to use it for this still life photo to give as a baby shower gift.

But when I first laid eyes on it all I saw was a photo shoot with this pony and some cute kid in front of a tinsel laden Christmas tree.

So imagine the giggles, when in the researching of my little pony I found this photo.

Always, I will remember

My beautiful Daughter and my Son-in-love gave this to me on the one year anniversary of Richards passing.
I was doing the photo challenge at the time….so that’s why I’m sharing it now.

If you’re familiar with Willow Tree then you know they always have a name.
This one is called…

And every time I walk past it I remember my beloved Richard and their kindness. :)

A little dirt don't hurt

Barnabas my therapy dog giving himself his own kind of therapy…

A good old dig in the dirt...

… to make himself a cozy bed for a snooze

Could not think of a better way to spend my Saturday if I was a Doxie. :)

What's in a name.

Although I may not blog for days, my camera is still never far from me. Here are a few of my favorite shots from this week.
One thing I do is name them. I don’t often share the names but today I’m going to. Some will be self explanatory and some have a story behind their names.
This first one I call...

Paper Wings
(To me the flower in the center looks like it has wings. And when I first looked at it my head started singing this melody from a song I like….Oh how could I expect to fly with only paper wings. ~it’s from Hope Floats and it’s called… "Paper wings")

 Original World Wide Web

 Acorn Prophecy
(I have always heard green acorns on the ground mean an early fall and a long winter. I guess we will see if the little acorn prophecy comes true.)

Heart On My Tree
(A play on the old saying, heart on my sleeve. In my mind’s eye my heart looks like the one on my tree….A deep gash of a wound right in the center of it.)

 Time Out

Vacancy

 Sunbeam Surfer

 The Message
(Shannie will often collect natures little treasures and leave them as messages to me placed around the yard. This is... you make my heart fly.)

 Unity
(First thing that went through my mind when I saw this shot is John 17:23
~I in them and you in me, that they may experience such perfect “unity”  that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them. I love that kind of unity.....were you don’t know where one begins and the other ends.)

 Golden Years
(For 70 plus years this man has lived on the same land. He has buried his wife and his only child. However through all that tragedy he still finds joy in the simplicity of just watching his dog hunt rabbits.)

 The Hunt

 True Gratitude
(How Ringer looks at his Papa after the hunt.)

 It Is Well
(with my soul)

Joy
(Grapes are a symbol of joy so when I see them I’m reminded God promises us joy.)

So there is a quick peek into some of my week through the lens.
Hope you enjoyed!

Silly Sunday

Shannie has this silly habit of sticking her face right into the lens of my camera.
So I told her if she keeps it up I am going to post a picture to my blog.

So here you go Shannie….Na na na na na naaaaa! LOL

This time I had my wide-angle lens on…HA!

My fair lady

Shannie and I decided to end our summer with one last hurrah!!!
A country fair!
She pointed the way and I just followed
with my camera and wallet in tow…lol
( Hey! Isn’t that what Grammy’s are for?)

 The winner!
She won a goldfish but gave it to another little kids because she said she didn't want to watch it just die.
We can not keep those things alive!

She braved the ferris wheel for the first time! :)

 And we just played!

Oh girl...we need to show you how to shoot!…lol

Now that’s more like it

She nailed it on that shot…that’s my girl!

And she won herself a...

 …you guessed it…puppy!

 Then we ate…

and ate…

and then ordered more...

 to eat.

Yes, someone’s belly, and love tank was full.

And she even found prince charming!

Nothing like a country fair with my fair lady! :)
