Building bears, memories and giving hearts.

I interrupt this regularly scheduled blog post to announce the arrival of my perfect little Grandson Waylon Mark
One of my friends said “he looks like he is praising Jesus already in this picture”. LOL… that’s my boy!
Yup there goes another piece of my heart forever!

He is 6 lbs 1 oz and 18 inches long. He is doing well however he had to be shipped right to the nicu because he was having a hard time keeping his temperature up and his blood sugar was low.  So I did not get to hold my precious gift from God yet. But I did get to say hello in the hallway as they were moving him.
Yes baby I’m sad too I couldn’t hold you in my arms…but you go get all toasty warm my little King and we will make up for it …trust Grammy! J
I am so proud of my daughter who had a pretty tough time of it and ended up needing a C-section. She was amazing and strong. But I am so glad that part is over… I was a nervous wreck.  Yes Sharayah now you know…Mom was falling apart inside!
It’s really tough when your baby is having a baby…like labor there is no way to prepare for it.

So I am sending all my blessings and love to my sweet Mama Sharayah, awesome Daddy Kevin…and perfect baby Waylon. I love you all so very much…thank you for making me a Grammy again! J

Oh and Mr. Waylon was born on my parents 50th anniversary…what a gift... a great grandson!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!

Below is my blog post which I think was perfect for today although when I did it I had no clue Waylon would be here.

Took Miss Shannie and her bff Jadyn to
Build-A-Bear .
They both have their birthdays in March so my girlfriend and I always try to do something special with them around that time.

Decisions, decisions.

Choose, choose… you must choose!
Shannie is having a hard time choosing between the cat or the dog.

All I can say is the dog world over here is going to be in an uproar when they find out she chose the CAT!
Below she is listening to the voice box she had put in kitty's foot.  She recorded “Shannie is a princess”. lol

And here she is recording a special message for her cousin Waylon…to put in that little puppy for him.

Really could you say no to these eyes…

She even kissed a heart and had it placed inside of his foot just for Waylon. She named him
Poppy the Puppy
and gave him Richard's birthday.
So Waylon could always have a piece of Poppy with him.
(Yes Kim get the tissues)

Jadyn chose a puppy also and a bear to give to her brother. So sweet.
We are blessed with such thoughtful girls. J

Here is Cinderella Kitty in her hot pink car...

...& Poppy the Puppy… yeehawwwww

Yes, building bears, memories and giving hearts. J
My peeps... I love them all so very much.
Thank you ladies for letting me get a picture...and now you’re all famous...lol

  2. Oh my gosh, I was already in tears just hearing about the joyous news of Waylon Mark entering this world. Congratulations!! And to little Waylon ~ Happy Birthday little man and may God bless you ALWAYS!

How very special to be born on your parent's 50th!

Poppy the Puppy... Wow! That just put me over the edge. Where does Shannie get all this wisdom? She has a very generous heart and soul. How I wish I could just give her a big ol'e hug.

We will say a prayer for Waylon. We just know you'll be holding him in your arms real soon. We can hardly wait to see more pictures.

    Hugs,
    Kim

  3. OH MY GOODNESS! I skip blog reading for a couple of days and look what happens!!! Congratulations! What a precious little baby boy you have. Happy Birthday sweet Waylon. He is so very blessed to have you as a Grammy and Shannie as a cousin. She is so sweet to make Poppy the Puppy for him. I'm sure when he gets to come home she will be sure to tell him all about her Poppy Richard.

Oh, I'm so happy for you! I will be praying that Waylon gets to come home soon and you can get your hands on him :) Don't they know that grandma's arms will warm him right up...but all that sugar might not be so good right now :) I'll also pray for your daughter to recover from her c-section. Hopefully she will bounce right back. What a great day!

    (((HUGS!)))
