Self Portrait

Day 1 of dog days of Summer photo challenge...and good old Jebediah makes it looks so easy in this shot.

However, I’ll tell you this… having a photo idea and communicating it to a dog that has no idea, is always a challenge. And I find much different from just photo journaling their lives.

Jebb was very obedient, and jumped right up on the seat for me…but as you can see...he was just notttt quite getting it….and when I told him to turn he just turned his head…lol

When I did get him to face the camera…I couldn’t get him to look at it because now he realizes, Mommy has treats!  And he won’t take his eyes off me.  I tried placing a cookie on the lens…nope that didn’t work.

So I came up with this very “high tech” photography trick.
Behind me on a table there were a bunch of plastic forks. So I picked them up and threw then in the direction I wanted him to look. Worked like a charm.
Children don’t try this at home. ;)

Jebediah is now looking to contract a stunt double…he finds working for Mommy a bit too dangerous for his liking…hahahaha

    2. I was thinking that maybe you should have asked the neighbors if you could set up your camera in their backyard and aim it at your fence ... =.)

  4. I don't think when you decided to start out on this photo challenge, you knew it was going to be that much work. And you've gotta keep it up for how many more days? Good luck my friend, I wish you the best :)

I'm not sure I'm going to stop by every day to see the pictures, because when I got to the part about throwing the plastic forks at Jebb, I spit out my mouth full of water all over my keyboard. My poor little computer wasn't happy with me :) But you let me know when you stand on your head to get that perfect picture and I'll be here in a heart beat minus the water.

    YOU CRACK ME UP GIRLFRIEND!

    Hugs,
    Kim

p.s. of course you know, I'm with you every step of the way.....
