Together Forever

I had been going back and forth about an urn for Richards ashes.  My dear brother even offered to make me anything I’d like. He is an amazing master carpenter. But just recently
I found the perfect bronze companion urn which was delivered yesterday. It’s not just for Richard’s remains but mine also.  I felt like it was my Valentine gift from my beloved, and the perfect symbol that we will be together forever.

I also found it to be perfect because my favorite picture of Richard is of him sitting on our bench. It's how I see him waiting for me to come home, just resting in the Lord's love.

Happy Valentines my beloved Richard….please kiss the face of our one and true Valentine Jesus for me… because He is the best thing that ever happened to us both!

And no Valentine’s Day is complete without Gladys Knight and the Pips…because …If anyone should ever write my life story for whatever reason there might be…you’d be there (MY SWEET JESUS) between each line of pain and glory… cause you’re the best thing that ever happened to me!

  2. OK, so you're not gonna cut me a break anytime in the near future.... So here I am again tearing up over your beautiful post. Your urn is incredible! That is very fitting as I just love the park bench memory. Richard would tell you that you done good.

So I guess in the meantime, I'll just keep my supply of tissues at hand and at the ready. Girlfriend, I'll be happy to cry right along with you every day for the rest of my life if that's what it takes.

Remembering you and your sweet Richard today. I hope the beautiful memories outweigh the sadness.

    Happy Valentine's Day!

    Hugs,
    Kim

p.s. Grandpa Bob said that's a very nice thought (about dinner). He also said "He's NOT going to bed early!"

p.s.s. Lily Belle & Muffin say "woof, woof" to you and your pack.

    1. Isn't it great how God collects our tears...ok so you and I have a lake up there...lol Thank you my friend for crying with me, laughing with... me but most of all rejoicing with me. And one day the Lord will turn this mourning into dancing and you can dance with me!

PS I have to say at his age Grandpa Bob earned the right to go to bed whenever he darn well pleases...so tell him I'm sorry for being so cheeky...lol

Hugs and wet nose kisses from all my pups to yours.
Hope your Valentines was blessed, mine was :)

  3. Happy Valentine's Day sweet Anna. The urn is gorgeous! Such a beautiful tribute. Can you even imagine how much more beautiful the park bench Richard is sitting on in Heaven?!? I love the hope we have of seeing our loved ones again in Heaven and most of all our Sweet Jesus, Lord and Savior.
